In the last few days, several trade rumors involving Josh Anderson have been mentioned in various media outlets and even though some experts believe that Kent Hughes will not let his power forward go, he is still willing to listen to offers from other NHL general managers.
He proposes to trade Anderson to the Senators with the 26th overall pick and other considerations in return for the seventh pick owned by the Senators. According to Beaudoin, Anderson would be a good fit in Ottawa, considering Dorion will be looking for a good winger to back up his young players.
"Pierre Dorion also said that the rebuild was over in Ottawa and that it was time to improve the club to compete for the playoffs. And, let's face it, Pierre Dorion isn't necessarily a master at negotiating beneficial trades for his club. Kent Hughes should talk to him about a potential deal involving Josh Anderson. - Marc-Olivier Beaudoin
Although it has often been mentioned that the Habs would not let Anderson go unless an exceptional offer was made, we must admit that this proposal is very tempting, especially if Kent Hughes intends to select Juraj Slafkovsky with the first pick.
