In the most recent matchup between the New York Rangers and the Pittsburgh Penguins, forward Sidney Crosby was shaken up by the contact with Jacob Trouba:
A major development in this series, as the Rangers try to come from behind.
This morning, there's a new development.
With just hours to go before the big game number six (PIT leads 3-2), Crosby is not on the ice for his team's morning practice. He's absent. Ouch.
He was probably the best player in the playoffs so far and he was playing great hockey.
His absence is obviously a huge loss for Pittsburgh because yes, unless there is a huge turnaround, Sidney Crosby will miss tonight's game.
Evan Rodrigues takes the place of number 87 on the power play.
Here is the Penguins lineup, without Crosby, without their best player:
Guentzel-Malkin-Rust
Heinen-Rodrigues-Kapanen
Zucker-Carter-McGinn
Boyle-Blueger-O'Connor
Matheson-Letang
Pettersson-Marino
Friedman-Ruhwedel
