The Montreal Canadiens prospects Owen Beck and Jared Davidson will compete for the ultimate honor in junior hockey as the Memorial Cup tournament kicks off this Friday, May 26th in Kamloops, British Columbia.
The national championship is held annually at a predetermined location, encompassing all three leagues of the Canadian Hockey League. Four teams - the champions from each league and the host team - will compete in an elimination tournament.
The participating teams in this year's tournament are:
Quebec Remparts (QMJHL champions)
Peterborough Petes (OHL champions)
Seattle Thunderbirds (WHL champions)
Kamloops Blazers (host team)
Beck will represent the Petes, while Davidson will be in uniform for the Thunderbirds. The two players will begin their respective tournaments by facing each other on Saturday, May 27th at 6:00 PM ET at the Sandman Centre. [...]
