In the last few seconds, the Montreal Canadiens organization has announced great news.
Young Emil Heineman is coming to town, and he will help the Laval Rocket in their race to reach the American Hockey League playoffs.
"The Canadiens have assigned forward Emil Heineman to the Laval Rocket. He will participate in this morning's practice."
Montreal Canadiens
A solid decision by Kent Hughes.
Heineman, 21 years old, was a 2nd round pick by the Panthers in 2020. He has accumulated 15 points (8 goals) in 35 games this season in Sweden's top league.
He was acquired from the Calgary Flames in the Tyler Toffoli trade.
This will certainly be a greatly appreciated acquisition by the Rocket, who have already sent several players to the Montreal Canadiens.
More details to follow.
