We had a (very) big surprise today at the Montreal Canadiens, as forward Josh Anderson took to the ice this morning with his teammates.
Let's remember that after seeing him leave the most recent game of his team in severe pain, unable to put any weight on his leg, many announced the worst.
The rumor was that his season was over, or at least, he would miss months.
Finally, not only did he avoid the worst, but he just announced incredible news.
That's what he just confirmed in a press conference. Wow!
"Josh Anderson says he's ready to play tonight. He will be in uniform! Anderson will be honored before the puck drop for being the recipient of the Molson Cup in December."
"Josh Anderson about his injury in Dallas: 'It was scary. Generally, as a player, when these things happen, you usually know right away if something is wrong. I was a bit stunned to return to the locker room, then to let things calm down. And obviously everything was fine from there'" - Via Priyanta Emrith
Clearly, more scare than harm for Anderson.
Anderson, 29, who has indeed just been named recipient of the Molson Cup for the month of December, has six goals and 11 points in 37 games this season.
