In a press conference in the last few seconds, ahead of tonight's game against the Ottawa Sens, head coach Martin St-Louis had some reassuring news about the health of his captain Nick Suzuki.
An important development.
St-Louis told reporters that he doesn't think Suzuki will miss the start of the season. He is "day to day" with an upper body injury.
"Martin St. Louis said he believes Nick Suzuki will be able to start the season with the club next Wednesday. Less certain about Joel Armia." - Marc-Olivier Beaudoin So that's reassuring about Suzuki, but less reassuring about Armia.
For those who are wondering, let's remember that the injury Suzuki suffered before the start of camp was to his lower body. So it is indeed a different injury in his case.
More details will follow!
Suzuki, 23, had 61 points and 21 goals in 82 games last season and 37 points in his last 41 games of the campaign.
