In the last few seconds, the excellent journalist Marc Antoine Godin published a very interesting article in which he revealed that the verdict was in on Emil Heineman.
Despite his very solid training camp, Heineman will play in Sweden this season, and he played his last game with the Montreal Canadiens this year:
"According to MAGodin, the Montreal Canadiens are expected to send Emil Heineman back to Sweden when he heals, which is a drastic (and refreshing) change from the way the Canadiens treated Mattias Norlinder last year, a decision he is still recovering from."
- Jared Book
According to some experts, Heineman was one of the candidates to cause a surprise and break into the CH's starting lineup to begin the season, but in the end, his recent injury as well as the surplus of forwards will have taken its toll on his presence in the inaugural lineup.
Heineman, 20 years old and acquired in the Tyler Toffoli trade, was one of the revelations of the 2022 camp and is certainly a strong candidate to break into the Montreal Canadiens lineup next year.
More details to follow!
