In the last few minutes, we have just learned that former Montreal Canadiens (and Laval Rocket) defenseman Josh Brook will try to continue his career with the Calgary Flames.
Brook, a second-round pick of the CH in 2017, was seen at the time as a very promising young offensive defenseman, but he ultimately never developed to the level expected, due in part to injuries.
After being released by the CH organization, now Brook is getting another chance. He is moving to Calgary:
"Former Habs prospect Josh Brook signs a professional tryout contract with Calgary. They will be looking for players for the AHL Wranglers, so maybe there is a possible fit here. Josh Brook finished his season with the ECHL Lions and wasn't called up by the Rocket for their playoff run, so it was clear that it was headed in that direction."

So Brooks, 23, will try to impress Flames officials in an attempt to continue his professional career in Calgary.
