Extremely Rare Scene: Xhekaj Shows Off His Creativity by Taking on Two Players at Once
For those who watched the Laval Rocket's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins' farm team, there was a sequence early in the game that says a lot about Arber Xhekaj's current mindset.
There's only a short video available, but essentially, it's important to know that Xhekaj was really unhappy about Samorukov and Joshua constantly going after Lias Andersson, who had just returned to the game.
Andersson is one of the team's best players.
In short, Xhekaj quickly went to see the two (Samorukov and Joshua) to clearly send them a strong message.
And most importantly, he did it without fighting and without receiving any penalty minutes.
He must have been tempted to shake them up more than that, but he showed that he can do what Martin St-Louis and Kent Hughes expect of him.
Result: Samorukov and Joshua left Lias Andersson alone for the rest of the match.
We like it.
Although one could say that the CH is denaturing Xhekaj, but hey, at least he's getting fewer penalties.
