The Montreal Canadiens won the game 5-3 against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night. Considering the team's pitiful effort in Arizona, it was a great response from the Habs. Some veterans stepped up, including Jonathan Drouin, Tyler Toffoli, Christian Dvorak and goalie Samuel Montembeault, among others.
Nick Suzuki also had a great game with two assists, blocked three shots and gave away three hits. A good game overall for the 22-year-old forward. Suzuki was rather invisible against the Coyotes, especially in terms of effort.
However, he answered against the Stars. Why this sudden awakening, and in such a short time? It's because of Dominique Ducharme.
Suzuki said his head coach challenged him about his intensity level a few hours before the Dallas game. What can we say? Mission accomplished!
What is missing now? A little consistency from the number 14. That will come with time and experience. In any case, he is still in learning mode, we must be patient with him. It will be beneficial for his development. We tend to forget that he is only 22 years old, and yet, what maturity!
