Dominique Ducharme compared his players to spoiled children

It was an eye sore Thursday night to watch a soulless Montreal Canadiens team who weren't missing their "moms" rather their two "dads" in Shea Weber and Corey Perry. Some people overlook leadership in the locker room and on the ice, when to me it is the most important facet of a professional team.
Without fully blaming the two setbacks on a lack of leadership, the "kids" will have to increase their level of commitment and fighting spirit to get back on track. They will also have to look in the mirror and motivate each other to get back on track. In fact, that's practically what Dominique Ducharme conveyed after the uninspired game against the Sabres.
"They've been told for three months that they're good, that they're beautiful and that they're extraordinary. It's like when you tell your kid not to put his hand on the stove. He puts it on. I think they felt it." - Ducharme
If I were to summarize this speech by Dominique Ducharme, he called his players nothing more nor less than spoiled children! As if they were still riding the fumes of the last playoffs, when they surprised the entire planet by reaching the final. The Tricolore did us good, but they must come back to the present and get their teeth into it.
On Saturday, the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge will open its season at home, when the New York Rangers will be at the Bell Centre. Let's hope for the more than 20,000 fans present that the show will get a lot of substance! The players must listen to the message delivered by their head coach.
