Bruins fans get slapped in the face as Hurricanes openly mock them

It's well known in the NHL, and Montreal Canadiens fans got a taste of it earlier this season, the Carolina Hurricanes like to make fun of their opponents, especially on social networks.

Recall that earlier this season, after a win over the Montreal Canadiens, they posted didthehabslose.com to sell Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Sebastian Aho jerseys for 24 hours. (In order to taunt the Habs)

Their most recent victim this time around? The Boston Bruins and their fans.

As reported by my colleague Christian Matte (Marqueur.com), prior to yesterday afternoon's Game Seven, they revealed on the big screen (with several hints) that the man in charge of the siren for the ultimate game was none other than former defenseman Aaron Ward, who once played for the Boston Bruins as well.

That got a good laugh! And that's not all.

The Hurricanes' organization didn't hesitate to bring up several comments made by Bruins fans (filed before the series), in order to "put them squarely in their face".

See the montage here and (below) Ward in action:

They pinned this post to the top of their Twitter feed, to make sure everyone sees these comments from Bruins fans.

A nice slap in the face and a nice way to get their derogatory comments back in their face!
