Big acquisition to come in front of the Montreal Canadiens' net? Kent Hughes has been linked to the Quebecer Yaniv Perets
According to the excellent Marco D'Amico, talented NCAA goaltender Yaniv Perets could be a solution for the Montreal Canadiens.
The Quebec native goaltender is currently shining brightly in the American university circuit.
He has an impressive average of 1.48 in 38 games and has 31 wins and only 4 losses.
He's having an extraordinary season, which is why he's a finalist for the prestigious Hobey Baker Award.
Currently a free agent, he could be of strong interest to Kent Hughes' team. I agree with D'Amico in this regard.
Since the goaltending position is the weakest in the organization, adding him would be a very good acquisition and bring some essential depth to the Canadiens.
The 23-year-old goaltender could start next season with the Laval Rocket.
