Mathieu Perreault, who has been out of action for quite some time due to an eye injury, was participating in the Montreal Canadiens' last practice. Perreault even completed a top line trio with Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield. He played sort of a nanny role.

Take note that Pezzetta was alternating with Perreault on the second line.
I'm very happy to see that the Drouin-Poehling-Armia combination is still in place since they quickly developed a nice chemistry. In my opinion, they were the Habs' best unit on Monday night against the Vancouver Canucks.
The two extra players were Michael Pezzetta and Cedric Paquette. Pezzetta is the one who should be sent down when the CH has to cut a player. It is easier to send him to Laval than to do that with a veteran like Paquette.
Defensively, the brigade was the same... and Joel Edmundson was conspicuous by his absence, having met with the doctors just yesterday in order to train with contact starting this week.
In closing, it looks like Chris Wideman could be back in uniform on Thursday when the Avalanche visit the Bell Centre.
