With the NHL trade deadline fast approaching, with Sean Monahan finally starting to skate again and with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, the excellent PM Perron has raised a concrete trade proposal involving the Montreal Canadiens and the Minnesota Wild.

It's no secret that the Wild are among the buyers and they absolutely need to get a center.

Check out his proposal:

"A healthy Sean Monahan [50% salary retained] could be the perfect center for Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello.

Prospect Brock Faber would be an interesting return for the Montreal Canadiens. Picks could also be involved to even things out." - PM Perron

To Minnesota:

Sean Monahan [50% salary retained]
2023 4th-round pick [PIT]
2023 4th-round pick [VGK]

To the Canadiens:

Prospect Brock Faber
2023 2nd-round pick [MIN]

Faber, 20, is a 6-foot, 195-pound right-handed defenseman.

He was drafted 45th overall in 2020 and has 20 points in 30 games this season in the NCAA.
