While his level of effort is criticized by many fans and journalists in Los Angeles, and while he has recently been relegated to the third, then to the fourth line, the Kings have just made a surprising decision involving Pierre-Luc Dubois.
Dubois suddenly sent back to the 1st line!
In a desperate attempt to reignite him, the Kings have made a major change in their line combinations.
Young Quinton Byfield is back at the center position (on the 3rd line) while Pierre-Luc Dubois has a golden opportunity on the first line, alongside Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe.
The Kings wanted Dubois to be a center, but clearly, it's not working. Will he be able to seize this golden opportunity on this 1st line that was operating at full throttle with Byfield? To be continued!
