Red Wings make a big announcement on Jeff Petry's health
As he's having a difficult season in Detroit, former Canadien Jeff Petry has just received some significant news.
At least, he can try to have a strong end to the season to leave a good impression on his leaders as the summer approaches.
Petry can turn the page following a worrying health update: he's now back!
More of a scare than harm for Jeff Petry, who will be returning to play according to the official statement from the Detroit Red Wings.
"Jeff Petry (illness/injury) is ready to come back, but Jake Walman (lower body) will miss his third consecutive game."
- DFO via Max Bultman It's always interesting to get news about our former players, so here's an important one, and it's good news on top of that.
A strong end to the season will be important for Petry if he actually wants to be in the plans of his organization for the next season.
Petry, 36 years old, acquired from the Canadiens for Gustav Lindstrom and a conditional 4th round pick, has collected 2 goals and 18 assists so far this season. (negative differential of -7)
He earns 6.25 million dollars per year for one more season after this one.
The absence of Jake Walman opens the door for him, so it's up to him to seize the opportunity and bounce back.
