The young forward Connor Bedard, who is one of the new faces of the NHL, has just taken an action that will certainly not please Gary Bettman.
As we reported several months ago, Bettman suffered a very hard financial blow when the company "Gatorade" dropped him.
The National Hockey League thus lost probably the best partner in its history.
Gary Bettman has therefore had to work very hard to replace Gatorade, but it hasn't been easy.
After the failed experience with Biosteel, the NHL recently announced the signing of a new partnership with Bodyarmor. Let's hope this one works.
Connor Bedard defies Gary Bettman and the NHL by signing with the enemy
In the past few hours, we have learned a very ironic piece of news.
«Connor Bedard seems to be in the running for the next face of the NHL, but now the NHL world wonders what Commissioner Bettman thinks.
The feeling is that he is not happy that one of his biggest stars is signing with a competitor and a company that abandoned him.
When situations like this occur, it can create a lot of tension. The NHL will then try to limit the damage to maintain a trustful relationship with its new partner.»
As for
Connor Bedard, he becomes one of the new faces of Gatorade Canada, and it's big for him.
He is wise to seize this unique opportunity!
He joins
Sidney Crosby, who had signed his deal while Gatorade was still a partner of the National Hockey League.
