A major purchase offer has been submitted to officially move the Arizona Coyotes
After Frank Seravalli and Elliotte Friedman, it's now the turn of the renowned David Pagnotta to add to this file.
Clearly, something very serious is happening behind the scenes.
Let's recall that we learned all of this earlier today:
Pagnotta goes even further, outright revealing that a big offer has been made to the Coyotes' bosses, an offer that comes with a relocation.
A group has submitted an offer to buy the Coyotes to relocate them elsewhere!
"I'm told the Coyotes had quite an offer on the table for the club, with relocation in mind as the plan.
It's still premature (maybe?).
But I'm updating this situation, as well as the Utah and Atlanta expansion updates (be ready, it's coming)!" - David Pagnotta
And he adds this:
"According to two different and reliable sources, Smith even proposed to buy the Coyotes for a significant sum, well beyond the current valuations of Forbes and Sportico for the Coyotes, and he would be willing to cover the relocation expenses as well.
Whether this offer is formally written or expressed is semantics, but the overall price of this offer would be lower than the expansion fees."
In essence, he would be ready to overpay to buy the Coyotes, and he offered much more than the team is actually worth.
A huge file to watch, but it's developing very rapidly.
More and more, it seems like the days of the Coyotes in Arizona are numbered. Finally, many will say!
