"The Blackhawks acquire Andre Burakovsky from Seattle in exchange for Joe Veleno.
Burakovsky still has two years left on his contract with a $5.5 million cap hit.
He recorded 37 points in 79 games last season."

At 30 years old, Andre Burakovsky tallied 37 points in 79 games this season, including 10 goals, following seasons of 16 points in 49 games, 39 points in 49 games, and 61 points in 80 games.
A two-time Stanley Cup champion, he won titles with the Washington Capitals in 2018 and the Colorado Avalanche in 2022. He earns $5.5 million per year through 2027.
At 25 years old, Joe Veleno recorded 17 points in 74 games this season with the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks.
He earns $2.275 million per year through 2026.
Veleno was selected 30th overall in the first round of the 2018 Draft by the Red Wings, while Burakovsky was taken 23rd overall in the first round of the 2013 Draft by the Capitals.
