Martin Necas traded to the Canadiens? Major last-minute development
After a few days of calm, we have just learned of an interesting development in the proposed trade discussions involving Martin Necas.
In fact, we have two developments.
First, the renowned David Pagnotta has just revealed the information he has obtained regarding the Carolina Hurricanes.
«Carolina will continue to engage in trade discussions involving Martin Necas, but about an hour ago, it was status quo and a decision was not imminent. We will see if the Canes gain ground this week or not.» - David Pagnotta
But that's not all.
Martin Necas decides to go to arbitration
The young Carolina Hurricanes forward has indeed made his decision.
This means that he can no longer officially sign an offer sheet, but his name remains perfectly available on the trade market.
The Montreal Canadiens and the Philadelphia Flyers are reportedly two of the teams at the forefront of the race to acquire him.
Necas, 25, accumulated 53 points in 77 games last season. The 12th overall pick of the 2017 draft had his best career season in 2022-2023 with a tally of 71 points, including 28 goals, in 82 games.
A name to watch in the coming weeks.
