Major: the Canadiens place two players on waivers, including Joel Armia
They did it! Wow!
In the beginning of this Sunday afternoon, the Montreal Canadiens announced the following.
"The Canadiens have placed forward Joel Armia and defenseman Gustav Lindström on waivers." -Montreal Canadiens Armia, 30 years old, who earns 3.4 million dollars per season until 2025, is thus freely available for other clubs.
Will he be claimed?
It's also worth noting that Lindstrom, acquired from the Detroit Red Wings in the Jeff Petry trade, has also been cut. This is big news especially for the young Mattias Norlinder.
More details to come.
