Even though there hasn't been an official trade announced for the Montreal Canadiens for a while, know that Kent Hughes is working hard behind the scenes to improve his team and is very active on the phone.

Here's another proof.

"Kent Hughes reportedly refused at least one offer from another GM for goaltender Jake Allen.

The Habs' GM has proven that he has a good understanding of the trade market. I wonder what return he is looking for."

What offer was refused here? We're talking about late draft picks. (in the last rounds)

So, it's understandable that Kent Hughes wants to be patient.

He, too, must not be a fan of the goalie trio, nor must he like seeing Samuel Montembeault play less often than he deserves, but that doesn't mean he'll make a poor decision and do a panic trade.

He will accept a trade offer for Allen or Primeau when the offer is sufficient and to his liking.

And you, what would you ask in exchange for Allen or Primeau? And which one would you trade more?

Allen, 33 years old, has a record of 4-8-2 this season, a goals-against average of 3.52, and a save percentage of 0.900.

Primeau, 24 years old, has a record of 4-4-0 this season, a goals-against average of 3.30, and a save percentage of 0.898.
