Disappointment for Montreal Canadiens fans in the last few minutes.

Kent Hughes had the opportunity to acquire for free a big, promising young center, a friend of Juraj Slafkovsky no less, and he passed on it.

Adam Ruzicka was finally claimed on waivers by the Coyotes.

We have an answer.

"It's the Arizona Coyotes who have claimed Adam Ruzicka. The Canadiens chose to pass." - Marc Antoine Godin

A decision that's not unanimously approved.

Yes, Ruzicka is MUCH better than Lucas Condotta, who was just called up but could have quickly returned to Laval.

In short, an interesting decision by the CH. Ruzicka was very productive in the junior ranks:

- 41 points in 30 games
- 37 points in 35 games
- 72 points in 63 games.

He was drafted in the 4th round in 2017. And in the AHL? Just as productive.

- 20 points in 16 games in 2021-22
- 21 points in 28 games in 2020-21

As for his NHL production, we're talking about 10 points in 40 games this season and 20 points in 44 games last season in Calgary.

Details will follow.
