The Kraken deliver a huge slap to Shane Wright's face immediately after the game vs the Habs

Just a few minutes after their match against the Montreal Canadiens, the Seattle Kraken made an announcement that's hard to understand involving Shane Wright.

They will not make the playoffs this season and, just like the Montreal Canadiens, their season is practically over.

They are 14 points away from the playoffs.

Why not give a little 10-game stint in the NHL at the end of the season to their 4th overall pick from the 2022 draft? Moreover, he seems to be doing quite well in the AHL.


Throughout the season, the Kraken have consistently called up forwards from their farm team and have completely ignored Shane Wright.

All season, the young player saw his teammates being called up to the NHL and he was always overlooked.

Wright, 20 years old, has played three games in the NHL this season and 53 games in the American Hockey League, with the Coachella Valley Firebirds. (19 goals and 22 assists)

The Kraken called up TWO forwards just minutes after the game against the Montreal Canadiens

Obviously, Wright will always have a rather special relationship with the CH, the team that overlooked him with the 1st overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.

We certainly remember the famous look he gave to the Habs' draft table, and it's also remembered that he was the fans' choice.

For now, Kent Hughes seems to have really made the right choice with Juraj Slafkovsky!

In short, a few minutes after their duel against the Canadiens and Slafkovsky last night (a match during which the Slovak was once again impressive), the Seattle Kraken indeed called up two forwards.

You guessed it. None of these two forwards is named Shane Wright.
