We witnessed a worrying scene today, live from the Bell Centre, ahead of the matchup between the Montreal Canadiens and the Winnipeg Jets.

Before the game, Jets centerman Vladislav Namestnikov was struck in the face by a puck.
"Vlad Namestnikov just got hit in the face with a puck that rode up on him during a power play drill.

Trainers out, towels out, and he just made his way off the ice to the room.

- Mike McIntyre, Winnipeg reporter
It wasn't a pretty scene.
We are therefore still waiting to find out whether Namestnikov will, or will not, be able to play tonight's game against the Montreal Canadiens.

A stroke of bad luck for Winnipeg Jets forward Vladislav Namestnikov live from the Bell Centre

Let's really hope he's okay.
Vladislav Namestnikov, 33 years old, is a left-shooting centerman standing 6 feet tall and weighing 181 pounds, and was a 1st-round pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2011 (27th overall).
He has accumulated 344 points in 811 career NHL games, including 143 goals, and has a quieter 8 points in 25 games this season with the Jets, after recording 38 and 37 points over the past two seasons.
He earns three million dollars per year through 2027.
We will keep you updated on the health status of a player who normally plays on the Jets' second line with Jonathan Toews and Cole Perfetti.
