Here's some good news for Montreal Canadiens fans, thanks to the Arizona Coyotes.

As we closely watch the NHL's reverse standings for the Macklin Celebrini lottery, the Canadiens still hold a top-5 pick (even after the point earned last night)!

Acquisition and a big draft move: good news for Kent Hughes!

In June, the Canadiens will acquire a very important piece of their future with their first-round pick, so it's crucial to maximize this first-round pick to make a big impact.

Everything will be decided tonight, but for now, the Canadiens keep their valuable ticket!

« Despite the point earned [last night], the Habs retain the 5th best lottery ticket for the draft since the tiebreaker favors the Coyotes. A regulation loss [tonight] would confirm the 5th best ticket + a guaranteed top 7 pick for the Canadiens! » - Marc-Olivier Beaudoin

We'll be watching this tonight, but things are looking good!

Note that the Arizona Coyotes will face the Edmonton Oilers tomorrow night to finish their season.

As for the Ottawa Senators, they finish their season tonight against the Boston Bruins.

Stay tuned for more updates!
