St-Louis Loses Patience With a Canadiens Player and Blows Up in Frustration Live From Practice
We witnessed an unusual scene earlier today during the Montreal Canadiens' practice session. For a rare moment, Martin St-Louis truly lost it in the middle of practice and raised his voice during a drill.
Personally, I love seeing this, especially during a solid three-game winning streak.
It shows that the head coach (and the players, of course) are not letting up at all.
Martin St-Louis loses patience live during Canadiens practice
As you can imagine, the video quickly went viral.
Essentially, MSL completely stopped a drill to intensely get his players back in line.
Here's the exact transcript from TVA Sports and Le Journal de Montreal :
"F...ing wake up!» he shouted. "Why aren't you passing the f...ing puck? There are 20 players on the ice! Is that helping?"
- Martin St-Louis, addressing one of his players
Of course, despite this nice winning streak since returning from the Four Nations Showdown break, the Canadiens are still five points out of a playoff spot.
There's still a lot of work to be done, and Martin St-Louis clearly knows that very well.
The Canadiens will face the Buffalo Sabres tomorrow on the road at 7 PM. They will then host these same Sabres next Monday at 7 PM, this time at the Bell Centre.
