At that moment, Ottawa was in the lead and the atmosphere already felt settled, except against this Canadiens team, you never declare victory while there's still time on the clock.
The game flipped late in the third period, with Montreal trailing 5-3 and refusing to go away. The Canadiens found a way to tie it and force overtime.
Moments later, Cole Caufield sealed the deal, and the story completely changed sides in an instant.
