Kaiden Guhle appears to be shaken after awkward fall at practice today; situation to monitor
We had a scare involving defenseman Kaiden Guhle during the Montreal Canadiens' practice in Brossard on Wednesday.
While battling for the puck against Jayden Struble, Guhle went down awkwardly and stayed down briefly before getting back up. He was able to resume skating, but he clearly appeared uncomfortable afterward, something that immediately caught attention.

On the ice, things happen fast.
One bad fall, an awkward angle, and suddenly everyone is watching the number instead of the puck.
Let's just say that, for a few seconds, Brossard held its breath.
A real scare for Kaiden Guhle today at practice
Guhle was selected 16th overall in the 2020 NHL Draft, and his NHL journey is already well underway.
In his rookie season in 2022-2023, he played 44 games, posting 4 goals and 18 points. In 2023-2024, he followed that up with 70 games, 6 goals, and 22 points.
Last season, in 2024-2025, Guhle added 55 games, 6 goals, and 18 points.
That totals 169 games, 16 goals, and 58 points over his first three full seasons, along with 130 penalty minutes.
In short, he's an important piece for the team, and the Canadiens absolutely need him to stay healthy for a stretch.
We'll be monitoring the situation closely, especially as the Canadiens continue to manage a tight lineup.
A practice is meant for work, not for losing a defenseman because of a bad fall.
