Jayden Struble's strong game vs the Wild is changing the conversation around Arber Xhekaj

The news isn't good for Montreal Canadiens defenseman Arber Xhekaj.
On Tuesday at the Bell Centre, Jayden Struble shook up Arber Xhekaj's spot a bit.
In the 4-3 win over the Minnesota Wild, Struble was in the lineup.
Xhekaj, meanwhile, was scratched and watched from the stands.
What stings for Xhekaj is that Struble was excellent.
He was also directly involved in a sequence that led to a goal scored by young Lane Hutson.

We're obviously waiting for the official announcement, with a press conference scheduled for late morning, but it doesn't look good for Xhekaj right now.

We'll indeed get the real answer at Martin St-Louis' press conference.
But one thing is already clear: when Struble is checking boxes, the path gets narrower for the other guy.
