Jake Allen leaves Montreal with emotions
"Just having had the chance to play 1 game with this organization, it's special to me!"
- Jake Allen
"Having been able to play with
Carey Price and almost winning a Stanley Cup is something I'm really proud of."
- Jake Allen
Via RDS. Clearly, he was heavy-hearted and would have preferred to stay here, but he agreed to waive his no-trade clause to do a big favor for the Montreal Canadiens.
A true gem, this Jake. Thanks for everything and good luck in New Jersey!
Allen, 33, thus ends his journey with the Montreal Canadiens with a record of 6-12-3 this season, a goals-against average of 3.65, and a save percentage of 0.892.
