The young Montreal Canadiens goaltender, Jacob Fowler, appears to have a bright future in the National Hockey League.

It should of course be noted that he played his very first career NHL game against the Pittsburgh Penguins (a game he won by a score of 4-2).
Well, that game turned out to be much more special for him than we initially thought.

The Montreal Canadiens reveal the identity of Jacob Fowler's two favorite players

Surprisingly, one of those two players is none other than Sidney Crosby.
In fact, one of those two players was on the opposing team for Fowler's first career game, which is quite incredible.
"Grew up a Pittsburgh fan. Crosby and Fleury were my favourite players growing up, so it's hard not to notice when he's on the ice, and you want to stop him every time he shoots."

Wow! And what an incredible photo:
Facing an idol in your first career game must be something else!
It's easy to understand why this moment stands out, as Sidney Crosby and Marc-André Fleury were two of the most popular players of their generation.
It will be interesting to see the type of career Jacob Fowler can build. While expectations should remain realistic, there is no denying that he possesses significant potential, despite everything that has been said about him.
Jacob Fowler, just 21 years old, is a 6-foot-2, 213-pound goaltender who was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the third round of the 2023 draft (69th overall).
He has been dominant at every level he has played in over the past few years, including the NCAA, the USHL, and the American Hockey League.
Fowler has played five games with the Canadiens so far this season, posting a 3-1-1 record with a 2.40 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage.
