We've got an update from the Montreal Canadiens, tied to a decision made by head coach Martin St-Louis.
It looks like St-Louis is going back to the winning formula from last month, and he's really prioritizing rest for his players (versus intense training).
Technically, it's been turned into an optional session this time, but the fact is that players aren't required to show up in Brossard today.
The mandatory practice is canceled.
Another day off for Canadiens players who want it
I have absolutely no issue with this.
At this point in the season, rest pays off, and you can see it in the team's results.
It's refreshing to see a head coach who really gets that part of the game.
"The Canadiens will hold an optional practice at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard."

I get the feeling that if the Canadiens had lost yesterday, today's session would still be mandatory for everyone.
That said, I fully expect to see
Lane Hutson in Brossard this morning, he never takes a day off.
This kid really is something special.
An important game coming up between the Montreal Canadiens and the Boston Bruins
It'll be another big two points up for grabs.
The Bruins are currently sitting dead last in
the Eastern Conference, imagine that. They've gone 1-8-1 in their last ten games and are riding a six-game losing streak.
