Canadiens send Sam Montembeault to Laval Rocket on conditioning assignment

We have a major announcement involving Habs goaltender Samuel Montembeault.
The Montreal Canadiens have just announced that Montembeault has been sent down to the Laval Rocket on a conditioning assignment, notably to regain his confidence.

It's important to note that the decision was partly made by Montembeault himself, since he had to agree to be sent to Laval for this to happen.
This shows that Montembeault truly wants to do everything possible to regain his confidence.
Note that the maximum duration of his stay with the Laval Rocket is 14 days. So, in two weeks (at most), he will have to return to the Montreal Canadiens.
This roster move therefore puts an end, at least temporarily, to the three-goalie situation with the Canadiens.
It will therefore be Jakub Dobes and Jacob Fowler with Martin St-Louis' group until then.
Samuel Montembeault, 29 years old, has a record of 5-6-1 this season, with a goals-against average of 3.61 and a save percentage of .861.

"Samuel Montembeault agreed to be sent down to finish the week with the Rocket. His last start was on December 2nd and he was badly sick the weekend after. It's smarter for him to play this week in Cleveland before meeting the team in Pittsburgh on Sunday."
