Canadiens Announce Last-Minute Change on Defense That Seems to Confirm Arber Xhekaj's Fate

We have good news for Arber Xhekaj fans. A few hours after being praised for his work and effort, notably by head coach Martin St-Louis, Xhekaj is now part of an interesting group change.
Xhekaj has just been moved into the same group as Alexandre Carrier on defense, unlike Jayden Struble.
This seems to indicate that Xhekaj is now in the driver's seat to earn that coveted sixth regular defenseman spot on the Canadiens' blue line. Wow.
That would give us:
Mike Matheson - Noah Dobson
Arber Xhekaj - Alexandre Carrier

So, it's confirmed-for now at least-for Arber Xhekaj! Xhekaj is in Alexandre Carrier's group (but not Jayden Struble).
