For the past few hours, images shared by the RDS network have been making the rounds on the web, as at today's practice, we saw that forward Jonathan Drouin remained alone at the end of the bench for long minutes during the power play.
See the publication in question and the comments that come with it:
In the last few minutes, just on RDS, Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St-Louis was the guest of Frédéric Plante and Yannick Bouchard on 5 à 7, and he was invited to comment on this sequence.
Here is his explanation:
A perfect and really interesting answer. St-Louis admits that on the images that are circulating, in the video above, it does look bad, but he really wants to include Jonathan in all the meetings, because eventually, Drouin will be inserted into the lineup, he says, maybe even as early as Friday.
The Habs head coach took the opportunity, at the same time, to confirm 100% that Drouin will not play tomorrow. This explains a little bit better the pictures of this morning, and the fact that he seems to be "in the background". To be continued!
