Turnaround for Juraj Slafkovsky and Logan Cooley: the Coyotes announce that it's over for their youngster in the top nine for now
Following the strong start to the season by Logan Cooley with the Coyotes, and the more challenging start for Juraj Slafkovsky, many observers and fans began to question whether the Montreal Canadiens made the wrong choice with their 1st overall pick in 2022.
However, in recent weeks, that has changed.
While Juraj Slafkovsky is on the CH's 1st line, coming out of his shell and experiencing the best moments of his career, things are getting a bit more complicated for Cooley.
Logan Cooley has just been relegated to the Coyotes' 4th line:
The moral of this story is that these are such young players, they will have ups and downs, and it will take years to know if Kent Hughes and the Habs made the right choice or not.
Cooley, 19, has 14 points in 25 games this season (3 goals), including two points in his last 10 games.
Slafkovsky, 19, has 17 points in 65 NHL games (6 goals), including six points in his last 11 games.
They will be interesting to follow!
