In the last few minutes, the Montreal Canadiens organization announced two bad news that we didn't see coming at all.
"Medical Update
Mike Matheson, Mike Hoffman and Christian Dvorak are not participating in practice.
Matheson is receiving a day of treatment while Hoffman and Dvorak are dealing with an upper body injury. The two are being evaluated on a daily basis."
- Montreal Canadiens As for Matheson, there is talk of discomfort, but it remains a mystery as to whether he is at risk of missing the start of the season (or not).
As for Dvorak and Hoffman, it's surprising to learn that they are bothered by an upper body injury, and we have no idea when they got hurt, but it's something to keep an eye on.
Their situation will be reassessed on a day-to-day basis and their presence for the first game of the season seems doubtful.
Now, in the case of Hoffman, some would say that this is not necessarily bad news, but hey. We still have to worry about the impressive number of injuries for the CH, especially since the season hasn't even started. Let's really hope that Matheson and Dvorak can come back at 100% as soon as possible.
More details to follow!
