The Canadiens have just announced some bad news for their fans and it directly concerns defenseman Joel Edmundson

During tonight's game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Detroit Red Wings, defenseman Joel Edmundson was unfortunately injured.

He left for his team's dressing room, and the CH organization just announced that his work night is over.

So he has a lower body injury, and obviously with the NHL trade deadline approaching, this will be a big one to watch.

So Martin St-Louis will play with six defensemen for the rest of the game.
