This is a decision that will not please fans and will really complicate the work of General Manager Kent Hughes.
Just recalled from the Laval Rocket, and while the Canadiens are receiving big trade offers for him, Arber Xhekaj is already heading to the stands. Ouch.
"Jesse Ylönen and Jordan Harris will be in tonight's game in Pittsburgh. Arber Xhekaj will be left out." - Montreal Canadiens Clearly, his apologies to the coaches were not as accepted as they might have been, and let's say this decision won't do anything to help the Sheriff stay himself and regain his confidence.
Do you like this decision? More details will follow.
As for Ylonen, he obviously takes the place of Brendan Gallagher (who is suspended for five games).
Xhekaj, 22 years old, 6 feet 4 inches and 240 pounds, has accumulated three points and 53 penalty minutes this season. (in 19 games)
A former first-round pick has just been offered to Kent Hughes in a trade for him:
This is likely to continue to cause a stir, and yes, Kent Hughes is likely to receive more calls today following this announcement.
