Pierre-Luc Dubois with the Montreal Canadiens? There's hope in the air

For the past few days, Pierre-Luc Dubois' future in the National League has been the subject of much debate.

Remember that after being traded from the Columbus Blue Jackets to the Winnipeg Jets, the Quebec center does not seem to want to settle in Manitoba for the long term.

In fact, he has already told his general manager that he intends to be a free agent in 2024. (He will be free as a bird and will have the opportunity to sign with the team of his choice). It's really rare that a player is so transparent, but this is the case with Dubois.

Some are even talking about a hidden trade request here. Basically, the Jets have 1.5 years to trade him, and if they don't, they'll lose him "for nothing" to free agents. Which is really not desirable for them, obviously.

Will they really want to keep, in their team, for two years, a player who is already thinking of leaving? It's unlikely.

So we can expect Pierre-Luc Dubois' name to come up (again) in trade rumors.

PIERRE-LUC DUBOIS WITH CH?

In the last few hours, popular host Mario Langlois, pilot of the show Les amateurs de sports on the entire Cogeco network, made a very interesting statement.

It's an opinion and a wish, regarding Dubois.

As I've often mentioned, I've always had the feeling that Pierre-Luc Dubois' dream is to come play in Montreal as soon as he gets the chance if the interest is mutual. But now he has already let the Jets know that he intends to test the free agent market in a year. So the Jets have a big decision to make by the next trade deadline or they will lose him for nothing. The question, with a hypothetical Suzuki / Dubois duo at center, do you absolutely need to draft a center on July 7. That being said, if the CH deems Shane Wright to be the best player, go regardless of the position because before he becomes dominant, it's going to take 3 to 5 years easy. Rather than talk about too many men on the ice in OT yesterday...😉

And you, would you like Kent Hughes to acquire Pierre-Luc Dubois?
