As you know, at the beginning of the week, young forward Nick Suzuki was named captain of the Montreal Canadiens, and for some reason, many politicians have reopened the debate of whether the CH captain should speak French.
It's been the talk of the town this week.
SUZUKI ANSWERS
In the last few hours, the new captain, Suzuki, was asked about the subject and about the comments of Quebec Premier François Legault, who said that the CH captain should learn French.
"I think Nick Suzuki is an excellent choice for captain. However, he's going to have to learn French." - François Legault
See his excellent response:
"I'll surprise him. I took French classes this summer and for eight years in Ontario. Chantal Machabée thinks I'm very good." - Nick Suzuki
We love it!
It's a debate that refuses to die out and it's amplified by the current election campaign, but it must be said that Suzuki has already made a solid effort to improve his French, both in speaking and understanding.
Clearly, the new captain has good intentions and may surprise many.
