Mid-August is already behind us. It's starting to feel like hockey is coming back to normal, with the season starting in October and not in January like last year. However, almost a month before the start of training camp, there are still some big names without contracts.

Obviously, there are mainly restricted free agents, but there is always the possibility of an offer sheet. Recall the one that Marc Bergevin had tabled to Sebastian Aho in July 2019. Among the players still available, there is Kirill Kaprizov who still does not know if he will play in North America next year or on the other side of the Atlantic.
In addition to Kaprizov, there is also Elias Pettersson, Quinn Hughes, Andrei Svechnikov, Rasmus Dahlin and Brady Tkachuk. These are all very interesting names that could perhaps tempt one of the general managers of the Bettman circuit to make an offer sheet. Who knows?
And if you were Marc Bergevin, would you take a chance with an offer sheet to one of these restricted free agents? Would he target a certain Anthony Beauvillier with the numerous Quebecers signed during the last summer? We'll have to keep an eye on this in the coming weeks!
