Jesperi Kotkaniemi met with the media this morning just two days before his return to the Bell Centre to face the Montreal Canadiens.

Normally, KK was supposed to meet the media on Thursday in person, but the Hurricanes organization did everything possible to protect the Finn from a potential shock treatment. He was placed in front of a camera to answer all the questions of the journalists, not only from Montreal, but from all over the world.

The Hurricanes managed to limit the damage, but KK was still asked an indiscreet question by a Montreal reporter, whose identity was not revealed.

The journalist in question told him what he thought about the hostile offer that the Habs had made to KK. According to him, if Montreal had matched the offer, KK would not have been happy with the outcome.

Kotkaniemi retorted that his question was inappropriate. He seemed visibly disturbed by the question, which is perfectly legitimate.

Kotkaniemi was asked if he expected to be booed on Thursday when he returned to the Bell Centre. He didn't seem to care too much about his fate.

The Canes' number 82 had only good words for the Tricolore organization. He is not at all bitter towards it.

The young man was categorical, he is totally comfortable with his role in Carolina. He is very positive about the level of competition within the company.

On a more humorous note, Jesperi Kotkaniemi texted Nick Suzuki to congratulate him on his new eight-year, $63 million pact. The latter had to wait a long time before getting a response 🤣
