While the Montreal Canadiens have the first right to claim the players who are placed on waivers, we see that there are starting to be names that are more and more interesting.
We learned earlier today that the following players (and goalies) are currently available for picks:
In the last few minutes, the robust PuckPedia resource has revealed the identity of each of the 43 players currently on waivers:
WSH: ZacgarFucale, Nardella, Mcilrath, Gabriel Carlsson, Pilon, Malenstyn
SEA: Hellberg, Twarynksi, Rafferty, Poturalski, Poganski, Olofsson, McCormick, Lind, Hughes, Froden
CGY: Phillips, Jones, Desimone, Dansk, Bishop, Poolman
DAL: Tufte, Studenic, Petrovic
PIT: Zohorna, Tokarski, Ouellet, Nylander, Caggiula
OTT: Heatherington, Lucchini, Chartier
Here are the most interesting players :
- Zachary Fucale, who has been very solid in a few starts, in front of the Washington Capitals net. Could he be better than
Samuel Montembeault?
- A few former first round picks, such as Gabriel Carlsson and
Riley Tufte.
- And our favorite, dynamic forward Alexander Nylander, the eighth overall pick in 2016, drafted just ahead of a certain
Mikhail Sergachev.
In his career, Nylander, 24, has 32 points in 84 NHL games. He also has 30 points in 44 games in the AHL in 2021-2022.
Do you think Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton should claim any of these players now that we have the full roster? Which one?
