In the last few seconds, we have learned some sad news.
Jake Evans' work night is unfortunately over:
"Jake Evans' night is over."
He wasn't on his team's bench to start the second period, and now he's already just been declared "OUT" by the organization. This doesn't bode well and is really sad news for Jake Evans, who was probably playing his best hockey of the season.
It's a real shame.
He was the Habs' second center and was praised by his head coach Martin St-Louis.
Let's really hope it's not serious in his case. He really deserves to stay healthy and establish himself for good.
More details to follow!
See the footage where Evans was visibly injured:
Montreal will have to finish the game with 10 forwards.
Evans, 26, has 11 points in 42 games this season.
