Alexander the Great continues to make his place in history

At 36, Alexander Ovechkin continues to stack goals. The Tsar even had one of his best start to the season in his career, finishing second on the circuit in goals (25), and sharing the first of the points with 53 points.
In scoring his 25th goal on Saturday against the Islanders, «Ovi» also made it to another prestigious list. He actually became the fifth player with the most 25-goal seasons and more in NHL history, achieving the feat for a 16th time.
He is now second only to Mike Gartner, Jaromir Jagr and Gordie Howe, while Teemu Selanne completes the Top-5.
If he keeps his current pace, and manages to finish the campaign with at least 50 goals, Ovechkin will also join Wayne Gretzky and Mike Bossy, with nine seasons of 50 goals in career, without forgetting that he only needs 140 goals to beat Gretzky's all-time record.
Despite his advanced age, the «Great 8» still has many personal goals to achieve, he will probably also try to win the big honours once again before hanging up his skates.
