Today is the birthday of one of the newcomers in the Montreal Canadiens organization. Indeed, the Quebec forward Cedric Paquette celebrates his 28th birthday, he signed a one-year contract with the CH this summer as a free agent.
A great gift
Paquette was on the Tampa Bay Lightning's roster when they won the 2020 Stanley Cup. Although he received his ring, he unfortunately could not have his moment with the cup due to the pandemic context.
Paquette will have the chance to get back on track, having made his parade of champions last October 22 in Gaspésie. He will be back soon, but this time, he will have the precious trophy in his possession. The Stanley Cup will be in the city of Gaspé on Thursday, August 19. He will be available to take pictures with the public, between 1:00 and 3:30 p.m., at the Centre des loisirs Cédric Paquette in Saint-Majorique.
Season 2020-21
Last season, Paquette played for the Ottawa Senators and then later for the Carolina Hurricanes. He finished the season with a combined 8 points in 47 games.
Happy birthday Cedric!
