Major Announcement from the Boston Bruins organization regarding former Canadien Anthony Richard
Here's a really nice surprise.
In the last few minutes, the Boston Bruins organization has indeed proceeded to recall forward Anthony Richard, a former Montreal Canadien.
He had been very solid for the Laval Rocket and he had also performed well with the Canadiens, especially when placed on the first line with Nick Suzuki.
Marc-Olivier Beaudoin got the scoop this morning:
"I'm told that Anthony Richard could be recalled very soon (today?) by the Boston Bruins to possibly play his first NHL game with them. Brad Marchand would be bothered by a virus.
We stay tuned!" And it has just been officially confirmed:
We wish him the best of luck with this new opportunity!
Richard, 27 years old and a native of Trois-Rivières, has accumulated 37 points in 41 games this season with the Providence Bruins, after having collected 67 points in 60 games with the Laval Rocket.
He amassed 5 points in 13 games with the Montreal Canadiens last season. Not bad!
